Is Packwerk no longer being actively developed by Shopify?

I just noticed that Packwerk has this disclaimer at the top of the README now:

NOTE: Packwerk is currently accepting bug fixes only, and is not being actively developed. Please fork this project if you are interested in adding new features.

Does that mean shopify moved away from this approach? Or just that it’s stable for what you need and you’re not going to do big feature expansions?

the PR is informative:

While we still actively use and encourage its adoption internally, Packwerk is considered to be feature-complete for Shopify uses. The goal of open sourcing it was to share our solution with the community. However, we currently are not actively developing Packwerk, since it has all the features we need. This change makes this expectation clear for potential contributors in our readme.

I found the commit but didn’t trace it all the way back to the PR

I’ve updated the README to make this clearer:
